2003年6月29日(日)ー9月7日(日)に開催された「草間彌生展 Labyrinth-迷宮の彼方に」のカタログです。
世界各地での個展開催、国際展への参加が続く草間彌生(1929ー)。その作品には草間芸術の基本概念である解体と集積、増殖と反復が表現されています。本展では、日本未公開のドローイングやシルバー単色に彩られたソフト・スカルプチャー、映像、新作等約100点を展示。草間がその圧倒的なエネルギーの中で闘いながら見せる「生と死の相克、魂の希望と失望」を迷宮のような展示空間にたどることができるでしょう。なお関西、中国、四国エリアの美術館ではその開催が待望されていた初の個展です。（展覧会紹介文より）
