This photo book features 57 carefully selected images chosen from a total of 166 slides: 154 slides stored in the “Wall” file and 12 slides from a similar separate file. The photo editing—including selection and sequencing—was done by Risaku Suzuki, a highly regarded photographer known for his work in sequencing. A variety of walls appear in this book at a good pace, ranging from those with visually interesting graffiti to ones that highlight textures and surface details. The book design, created by designer Masuo Kuroda, is unique and innovative: it preserves the slide mounts exactly as they are, including the writings and drawings by Inokuma on each slide. This photo book not only showcases Inokuma’s work but also serves as a valuable document of New York City’s streets before the era of graffiti art, presented in full color.
