This is the catalog for the exhibition “Our Beloved World” held December 20, 2015 - March 27, 2016
The world in which we live is fraught with problems—problems we are apt to simply turn our backs on. If we want to keep living happily and comfortably, hereafter, it is important that we take a stance of looking sincerely at the world and trying to find some small way to make a change. This exhibition presents works by four artists, each of whom reflects on their own position and creates works by engaging deeply with the issues rooted in their respective contexts. They offer ways of engaging with the world and shed light on a society just half a step ahead. These works, imbued with faint signs of hope, encourage each of us to recognize the realities surrounding us and serve as a catalyst for gradual change—ultimately leading us toward a more flexible and open society in the future.
